Sketches of a night

While I am experimenting with the larger sheets of the handmade paper from Lorenzo Santoni but still have not finished a new painting (I have 4 different paintings I am working on parallel) I  got at least a few more sketches finished last night. If it is quiet I might get my larger paintings finished tonight.

    1. Thanks so much, Holly. 🙂 I am still working on them (the larger ones). Now I am working on five and I guess No.6 will be started tonight. I like it when I don´t have to take a break for drying and instead switch to another one. I am just trying to paint color shapes and prevent myself from thinking about the motive while painting. Does it make sense? 🙂

      1. i do understand. I’ve tried that with figure drawing and have found it works. I am jealous of your work progress right now and of your being able to keep so many paintings going. i have several languishing in various stages, all incomplete. i am currently badly distracted by family needs and the difficult process of handling my mother’s estate.

      2. No need to be jealous, Holly. I am just trying to make the best out of of my nightshift work. And my life feels so good and easy going now after I had been through a lot of trouble before. I know it is hard to find the necessary mental peace to paint when so much is going on around you and you have to handle so many family needs. Try to take care of yourself, Holly.
