I became a little bit tired last night while I was practicing with this old house. In the end the whole thing was much darker than planned and although I thought I had found a way to work with this Canson paper it did not really work out. But it is what it is – practice. 🙂
Letzte Nacht wurde ich etwas müde, als ich an diesem alten Haus übte. Am Ende war das Ganze viel dunkler als geplant und, obwohl ich dachte, ich hätte einen Weg gefunden mit diesem Canson Papier zu arbeiten, hat es nicht so geklappt wie gedacht. Nun ja, es ist was es ist – eine Übung. 🙂

pretty wonderful when one’s skill gets to the point of allowing real discrimination in things like paper surface and paints. I think i see what you mean though, there are no glowing whites or transparent lights.
Still your painting is lovely-rather like an old photograph with beautiful soft values.
