Loose watercolor – brush essentials tutorial ep.03

Free Watercolor Tutorials

Today: Flatbrush 50mm / daVinci Spin

After introducing my cheap but wonderful Chinese brushes I´d like to show you the different options to use big flat-brushes to bring more expression and life to your watercolor paintings. By using all possibilities of these brushes we can add a lot of variation in our painting and create great textures. And in combination with the Chinese brushes the options are endless.

These practices from my daily routine show you an easy and effortless way of developing your individual expression through your brushstrokes. I recommend cheap paper and a dark paint like Paynesgrey for these training. Happy painting.
