Almost done… last sketches from 2020

Only a few hours left of 2020. Thank you for nothing 2020!? To be honest, my personal life was not too bad. Instead of traveling through Europe for watercolorfestivals I discovered Urban Gardening for me – when I did not feel for watercolor painting I re-discovered collage and mixed media. Instead of exhibitions I started an online-shop. I know that other people hav not been that lucky this year – and I really feel sorry for them. But we also have to make the best of any situation… at least try to. And I think there is a lot we all can do to make 2021 a better year. Everyone of us. Maybe lets start with being a little bit less egoistic and bit more flexible and empathetic for other people and situations. But enough of that… this is a watercolor blog and not the moral apostelßs pulpit. Here are my last sketches for this year. Hope to see you all again safe and healthy in 2021. Pressing both thumbs.

Nur noch wenige Stunden bis 2020. Danke für nichts 2020!? Um ehrlich zu sein, war mein persönliches Leben nicht schlecht. Anstatt für Aquarellfestivals durch Europa zu reisen, entdeckte ich Urban Gardening für mich – als ich mal keine große Lust auf  Aquarellmalerei hatte, entdeckte ich Collage und Mischtechnik wieder. Anstelle von Ausstellungen habe ich einen Online-Shop eröffnet. Ich weiß, dass andere Menschen dieses Jahr nicht so viel Glück hatten – und sie tun mir wirklich leid. Aber wir müssen auch das Beste aus jeder Situation machen … es zumindest versuchen. Und ich denke, wir alle können viel tun, um 2021 zu einem besseren Jahr zu machen. Jeder von uns. Beginnen wir vielleicht damit, ein bisschen weniger egoistisch und ein bisschen flexibler und einfühlsamer für andere Menschen und Situationen zu sein. Aber genug davon … dies ist ein Aquarell-Blog und nicht die Kanzel des Moralapostels. Hier sind meine letzten Skizzen für dieses Jahr. Ich hoffe, Euch alle im Jahr 2021 sicher und gesund wiederzusehen. Drücken wir beide Daumen.
