In Case of Fire… Watercolor

Fire! During the climat change we are facing huge and disastrous fires all over the world. This is terrible. But fire has some fascination as a motive for painting for me. The abandoned houses I paint often burn down due to arson or more or less natural fires. And so I feel that I have to paint a burning house from time to time. This is the latest of my approaches, painted on cheap paper with bold brushstrokes.

Feuer! Während des Klimawandels sind wir auf der ganzen Welt großen und katastrophalen Bränden ausgesetzt. Das ist fürchterlich. Aber Feuer hat für mich eine gewisse Faszination als Motiv zum Malen. Die verlassenen Häuser, die ich male, brennen oft aufgrund von Brandstiftung oder mehr oder weniger natürlichen Bränden nieder. Und so habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich von Zeit zu Zeit ein brennendes Haus malen muss. Dies ist der neueste meiner Versuche, gemalt auf billigem Papier mit kühnen Pinselstrichen.
