Jungle of Colors 1 – Watercolor

Not as good as the small watercolor sketch from a few days ago ( see: https://brushparkwatercolors.wordpress.com/2020/07/25/summer-evening-impressionist-watercolor/), but I am almost happy with this full sheet version, too. Although I used the biggest brushes available the spontaneity of a small & sketchy watercolor always gets lost a bit when I try to transfer it to a full sheet. May be it is because a full sheet takes so much more time to finish. To achieve the color depth I like and to suggest a texture only takes a few minutes on a small sheet – on a full sheet it takes hours.

Nicht so gut wie die kleine Aquarell-Skizze von vor ein paar Tagen (hier zu sehen: https://brushparkwatercolors.wordpress.com/2020/07/25/summer-evening-impressionist-watercolor/), aber ich bin trotzdem fast glücklich mit dieser Version auf einem großen Blatt. Obwohl ich die größten verfügbaren Pinsel verwendet habe, geht die Spontanität eines kleinen & skizzenhaften Aquarells bei der Übertragung auf ein großes Format meist verloren. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ein großes Blatt so viel mehr Zeit braucht, um fertiggestellt zu werden. Auf einem kleinen Blatt dauert es nur ein paar Minuten, um die Farbtiefe zu erreichen, die mir vorschwebt und Texturen zu suggerieren – auf einem großen Blatt braucht es Stunden.
