I am back from Ireland – packed with impressions and inspiration. It was only one week, much too short to really learn to know this wonderful country, but I fell in love with the beautiful diversity of landscapes, light, culture and people. Although the weather was “typical Irish” I was really impressed by the colors, especially the greens (50 shades of green). Ireland will probably have a huge impact on my painting in the next weeks. I had a few days off from work left and did start to paint my memories, that I´d like to show here today. I started with a pretty much abstract approach of landscape painting and this might be my main theme during the next weeks. At the bottom of this post you find a 20 minutes video collecting some of my impressions from the journey through the green island.

Love it!☺ There’s a mix of colours you use which I haven’t seen much with other artists. It just looks so vibrant ☺

An I see that you tried the credit card technique as well, what do you think of it? I think that I prefer using it on already applied thick paint to pick out the highlights. Beautiful paintings by the way! 💕

Thanks so much for watching, Dwight. I wish you would live closer and could come to see me painting live to my own music compositon next week. This will be fun. https://brushparkwatercolors.wordpress.com/2019/10/01/invitation-einladung-dancing-brushes-11-10-2019-essen/
