Week review & spring cleaning

This week was dominated by spring cleaning in my apartment and studio – but it started with a painting session with my artist friend Hanny Barth in her studio. And that was great to get into the painting groove again, because before that I felt a little low motivated. A change of scenery is always good to get it rolling again and so it was last Monday. After our painting session I felt warmed up to let the brushes dancing again through my nightshift, although I was pretty tired from several hours of spring cleaning during the daytime. But day by day it is getting more where I want it to be and now there are only the windows left for cleaning next week. Upcoming Monday is reserved for installing my new studio equipment. I bought some camera and light equipment lately to be able to start a new series of watercolor demo videos. I will probably post something about this project next week. The 1^st video will be about my new book that just arrived from printing – more about it next week, too.

Wochenrückblick und Frühjahrsputz

Diese Woche wurde doch sehr vom Frühjahrsputz in meiner Wohnung und Atelier dominiert – aber sie begann mit einer Verabredung zum Malen mit meiner Künstler-Freundin Hanny Barth in ihrem Atelier. Und das hat sehr gut geholfen, um wieder in den Mal-„Groove“ zurückzukommen, denn davor habe ich ein leichtes Motivationsloch verspürt. Ein Tapetenwechsel tut da immer wieder gut – und so war es auch am Montag. Nach unserer Mal-Session fühlte ich mich aufgewärmt, um auch in meiner Nachtschicht wieder die Pinsel tanzen zu lassen, obwohl ich vom täglichen Frühjahrs-Putzen doch etwas müde war. Aber jeden Tag komme ich dem Ziel etwas näher und nun sind eigentlich nur noch die Fenster übrig, die ich mir in der kommenden Woche vornehmen werde. Der kommende Montag ist allerdings dafür reserviert, mein neues Studio Equipment zu installieren. Ich habe mir einiges an Kamera und Lichtkram zugelegt, um bald mit neuen Aquarell Demo Videos zu beginnen. Ich werde vermutlich in der kommenden Woche etwas über das Projekt verraten. Das erste Video wird jedoch über mein neues Buch sein, das gerade aus der Druckerei gekommen ist – auch darüber dann mehr in der kommenden Woche.
