Translations

I tried to translate pictures from the miniatures into a bigger format. Not completely failed but it is really difficult to catch the atmosphere, because I need so much more brushstrokes, even if I use the biggest brush I have available. The reduction of the miniature works gets lost a bit but I think it is a good practice for me and I am going to continue these practices.

  1. I feel very confident that you will solve the question of the large watercolors (which we think are beautiful, but I fully understand that as the artist you have intentions that you’re striving to achieve that are not apparent to a casual spectator). Situations like this are moments for taking it to the next level. And you’re so skillful that your next level will be wonderful. The entire image has the potential to hold various smaller views inside it. That’s just a thought I toss out. Maybe look for the elements of the smaller view that lie hidden inside the larger format.
