Spring awakening

Spring awakening.. more wishful thinking these days. After two sunny days it is cold and rainy again and the weather forecast for the easter holidays is not too promising. But aren´t we painters blessed with the option to paint what ever we feel for??!  The color choice for this quick watercolor did light up my mood and the rainy night.

Frühlingserwachen… das ist mehr Wunschdenken als Realität in diesen Tagen. Nach 2 sonnigen Tagen ist es wieder kalt und regnerisch und die Wettervorhersage für die Ostertage ist nicht wirklich verheißungsvoll. Aber sind wir Maler nicht mit der Möglichkeit gesegnet, zu malen, wonach auch immer uns ist??! Die Farbwahl für dieses schnelle Aquarell hat meine Stimmung und die verregnete Nacht in jedem Fall erhellt.
