My brushwork seems to differ pretty much when I paint on different papers. In this case I painted the same motive on three different paper qualities with some variations in the results that have mainly been inspired by the paper´s surfaces. I don´t prefer one before the others although I plan to paint much more on the hot pressed satinized Fabriano paper. But not tonight. I did work on the edit of chapter 2of my “Rhapsody Of Flowing Colors” movie for the last 24 hours and I feel pretty tired tonight. The video will be available online next Saturday evening, March, 3rd.
Meine Pinsel-Arbeit scheint recht unterschiedlich, je nachdem welches Papier ich verwende. In diesem Fall habe ich das selbe Motiv auf 3 verschiedenen Papieren gemalt – mit einigen Variationen in den Resultaten, die im wesentlichen von den unterschiedlichen Papieroberflächen beeinflusst sind. Auch wenn ich im Moment keinem den Vorzug gebe (jedes hat seine individuellen Qualitäten) plane ich doch, n Zukunft wesentlich mehr auf dem Heiß gepressten, satinierten Papier von Fabriano zu malen. Aber nicht heute Nacht, denn ich habe die letzten 24 Stunden am Schnitt des 2.Kapitels meiner “Rhapsody of Flowing Colors” gearbeitet und bin jetzt ziemlich müde. Das Video wird ab Samstagabend, den 3.März online zu sehen sein.

Love the high contrast light dancing on the angles of house in the second image, (059_2018 Watercolor / Stylex watercolor block )! It seems as if magic entered into the splashes down the lane in this version…….simply love it! Looking forward to your video!

Your awareness of, sensitivity to, the surface is inspiring. The art of art is more than the subject, isn’t it? It’s the whole thing, the spaces between spaces, the colors themselves. We really see that in your pictures …
