Vacation at home

What a nice surprise! A few weeks I realized that I am off from work for one more week… and this week is now. Because we have to plan our vacation time at the beginning of the year I forgot about it – and it became an unexpected gift. It is wonderful to spend some time at home with my cats and paint without any time-limit. I decided to be pretty lazy and the weather forecast makes it easy to stay calm and comfy at home. I feel a bit lazy about posting here, too but today I thought it would be time while my watercolor in progress is drying.  Time to show you a few of my paintings from the last days.

    1. Thanks so much, Holly! The week was short but beautiful. I have been pretty lazy, did not paint too much and spent a lot of time with the cats. Sorry, I love my cats too much to butcher them in a painting. 🙂 But maybe I can let them paint a few pictures for me. Chico spends most of the day close to my palette and brushes and Charlie likes to walk through the wet paint on the palette (prefering Cadmium Orange) and making footprints through the apartment. 🙂

      1. I love it! Chico and Charlie. Chico is the connoisseur and Charlie is the Painter.
My sister in law gave me a fun book of art work all “painted” by cats. I tore about looking for it just now and failed. It will turn up-maybe! This house contains over 14,000 (no that’s not an error) books though so…it could take a while.
