MINIATURES / HANDMADE PAPER 2

Lately I feel a bit tired at night and too lazy to start a large painting in the nightshift. I am so happy about this small handmade watercolor book and feel that this is the perfect way of painting these days. Here are my two latest entries from the book from last night. I am not trying something new here, just trying to reduce details to find more freedom in my brushwork. I paint these with a huge flat brush and one of my medium Chinese brushes.

      1. Thanks so much, Holly. I love James Gurney´s work since I noticed that he was the man some great animation background paintings… and this is about 30 years ago. 🙂 His blog is always an inspiring source… although I have not been there for a while. Thanks for the reminder. There is probably a lot of new stuff waiting for me… 🙂
Video filming and editing was a huge part of my job as a freelancer for years, but nowadays I don´t feel for spending too much time in front of my computer. But I am going to produce some video this fall / winter.
