Duisburg Mannesmann Hüttenwerke #WORLDWATERCOLORMONTH 29/31

I had a wonderful weekend without painting, without work, without computer. This watercolor was the last one from last week and it is the last I painted for the watercolor show in 4 weeks. My 8 entries have been matted and framed and have already been picked up and brought to Malstedt, where the show starts August, 27. I wanted at least one painting from the area where I live and with this one I was satisfied myself.

209_2017 Watercolor / Fabriano Artistico rough 61 x 45,5 cm / 24´ x 17.9´ / Lukas Aquarell 1862 “Duisburg Mannesmann Hüttenwerke ” #worldwatercolormonth 29/31

  1. How wonderful, your upcoming exhibit! I love this watercolor. Dramatic beauty, wonderful sense of place. The foreground grasses seem so completely natural. It reminds me of somewhere — I mean it’s so natural that it seems like it must be a place one remembers — even if one hasn’t ever seen exactly the scene. Great that you had some time to just relax and be. You certainly deserve to relax and celebrate. You’ve done a ton of wonderful painting.

    1. Thanks so much, Aletha. 🙂 I am glad you like this one. It was so easy to paint that I got the feeling it is my picture and it had to be painted. It was kind of “effortless” to paint – in my opinion a good watercolor should appear effortless.
