After practicing or trying to paint tugboats from time to time in the past this is my first try for a watercolor composition with a tugboat on a rough sea. I did paint this last night just from my memory and it was going so easy and effortless that I decided to give it another try in a bigger format pretty soon. The title refers to my own nighshift work and waiting for going home. 🙂
Nachdem ich in der Vergangenheit von Zeit zu Zeit mich schon einmal an Schleppdampfern versucht hatte, ist dies mein erster Versuch einer Aquarell Komposition mit einem Schlepper auf rauer See. Ich habe das letzte Nacht aus dem Kopf (und aus dem Bauch) heraus gemalt und es schien so einfach und aufwandslos, dass ich beschlossen habe, es in Kürze noch einmal in einem größeren Format zu probieren. Der Bildtitel spielt auf meine Arbeit in der Nachtschicht an und den Wunsch, bald nach Hause zu kommen. 🙂
