This is my Monday watercolor. I painted one similar last weekend but I wanted to try some variation. I found out that it is much harder to make the colors glow on the rough Fabriano paper than it was using the smooth Hahnemühle Anniversary surface.

Love the old mill!!

Are you referring to the Fabriano cold press or the Fabriano Hot press? I have yet to try the Fabriano hot press and i have not found the Hahnemühle Anniversary surface locally, although i’d love t try it.

This was the cold press Fabriano paper, rough. I find it pretty tricky to get the colors glowing wth it, especially when working with layers. It is much easier on a smooth surface, I think.

I really like it…. and it is so easy to let the brushes “dance” on it. Good luck next time, Holly! 🙂
