Black & White adventure

I am still enjoying my adventure in black & white watercolor painting / sketching. Some people on Facebook wrote that they prefer my more colorful works but for the rest of the week I decided to paint most in black & white to practice values and the possibilities of the greyscale. Here are the latest results.

  1. I think that you b & w are just as powerful as your paintings with color….what a fantastic idea. I think that I might do some of this kind of painting. So, which color do you use….obviously black but a combination or? The darkest color that I have is DS Indigo which is more of a blackish blue.

  2. I myself enjoy the black and white a lot. I think one has to be much more careful when blending only 2 colors. You show a lot of dimension in just varying shades of black and white. They are really good!
